Tarmac Topfloor Heatsave Plus

The ground floors are constructed using Tarmac Heatsave Plus which comprises of preformed expanded polystyrene (EPS) infill panels that fit between and beneath precast concrete floor beams. The floor is finished with a structural concrete topping (Topflow HZ). The completed ground floor construction can achieve U-values as low as 0.10 W/m2K.

The ground floor has been insulated through use of Tarmac’s Heatsave Plus. The walls have been further insulated with 100mm with foil faced rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board.

Heatsave Plus consists of rigid insulation units manufactured from lightweight, closed cell, Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) laid between pre-stressed concrete beams and finished with a structural topping. It provides a suspended thermal floor designed for ground floor residential applications. The system is easy, quick and simple to install.
